9/11

9 years ago today I was sitting in my Sophomore English class. We had heard that a plane had hit the Twin Towers. We turned on the television and sat there mesmerized by the drama unfolding before us. Tears rolled down our cheeks.....it was terrible. Then of course there was a bomb threat called to our high school so we had to evacuate into the parking lot in the sun. We of course will also freaking out because the high school was right next to Universal Studios and there were major threats coming in about them being hit too. So what I am trying to say is this. NEVER FORGET!

  1. I was in second period Trig. My teacher was a complete asshole. The period ended, and I headed for Robitaille's class....we had a test. She made us take it, but let us put the tv on. And then we had to evac mid-test for the bomb threat. It's certainly a day that stands out in my memory, but not something that I necessarily wish to keep in my memory. Americans like to say never forget because Americans like to hold a grudge against anyone they can. We should, instead, forgive but remember the important things. If you hold onto the pain, it only leads to the bitter destruction of diversity and culture...it means we'll always be looking for someone to blame for that memory. That's why now we have all this bullshit going on about the mosque at Ground Zero which is neither a mosque, nor at Ground Zero.
